On March 8, experts from underground pipeline professional committee of China Urban Planning Association, the person in charge and technical representatives of Putian City and town level residential construction and municipal engineering department, co-witnessed a field test of non-destructive excavation in Fujian non-destructive excavation pilot site and felt in person the convincing performance of Hishan’s suction excavator, they consider Hishan’s non-destructive excavation equipment is a revolutionary innovation in the field of mining and construction industry.

On the same day, a construction site at the intersection of Bayi Street and Happy Road in Putian City attracted many onlookers, and a yellow non-destructive excavator was engaged in non-destructive excavation of underground pipelines. Among people observing in the crowd were Wang Laixing, expert from professional committee of underground pipeline of China Urban Planning Association, officials from Putian City Housing and Urban Construction Bureau and technical representatives from county, district construction and municipal departments.

General Manager Huang Xiangyang said to experts and the participants who were observing the non-destructive excavation that, at present China and Europe and the United States have regulations strictly prohibiting the use of excavators, shovels and other destructive excavation equipment in dangerous sites like the pipeline and underground cable. Today we are at this site to witness the use of Hishan’s and our country’s first non-destructive excavator to excavate pipelines buried underground. The whole process is called soft digging operation, which means applying super suction force created by patented Hishan turbines to remove soil, gravel and other materials around the pipelines without causing any damages. The value of this non-contact excavation method is obviousand should be greatly promoted in China’s underground pipeline construction.
